A Celestron 45-degree erect image diagonal is an accessory that allows you to view astronomical or terrestrial objects with an upright and laterally correct image. It uses an Amici prism to achieve this, enabling comfortable viewing at a 45-degree angle. This is in contrast to standard 90-degree diagonals, which produce an image that is upright but reversed left to right.
