Godox DP600III-V Professional Studio Flash

Maximum Studio Power, Now Running Cooler Than Ever

When you need serious output to fill massive light modifiers or overpower ambient light in a large commercial space, the Godox DP600III-V is the heavy-duty anchor your studio needs. Delivering a commanding 600Ws of power, it is built for portrait, fashion, and product photographers who require absolute consistency and deep depth of field without breaking the bank.

Like the rest of the upgraded "V" series, this Mark III monolight abandons the blistering heat of traditional studio strobes. Godox completely replaced the older 150W halogen modeling bulb with an incredibly efficient, bright 30W LED. This monumental upgrade ensures your studio stays cool during marathon shooting sessions, your subjects remain comfortable, and your expensive softboxes and color gels are completely safe from heat damage.

Why You'll Love This Flash

  • Massive 600Ws Output: The extra 200Ws over its smaller sibling (the DP400III-V) makes a massive difference when you are shooting through double-diffused 5-foot octaboxes or need to stop your lens down to f/8 or f/11 for edge-to-edge group portrait sharpness.

  • Cool-Running LED Modeling Lamp: The new 30W LED modeling lamp gives you a crisp, clear preview of your lighting ratios and shadow fall-off. Because it generates almost zero heat compared to halogen bulbs, you can safely tunnel the light with snoots or heavy grids without melting your gear.

  • Built-in Wireless Control: With Godox's legendary 2.4GHz X-System receiver built straight into the chassis, you eliminate the need for messy sync cables. You can trigger the flash, adjust the 600Ws of power, and toggle the modeling lamp directly from your camera using any Godox X-series transmitter (like the XPro, X2T, or X3).

  • Universal Bowens Mount: The front face utilizes the industry-standard Bowens S-Type mount. This unlocks instant compatibility with thousands of affordable light modifiers—from massive parabolic umbrellas to optical snoots—from almost any lighting manufacturer globally.

  • Highly Granular Power Control: Despite its massive power ceiling, you can dial the output all the way down from 1/1 (full power) to 1/64 power in incredibly precise 1/10th-stop increments, giving you absolute, pinpoint control over your exposure.

Things to Note

The most critical thing to understand about the DP600III-V is that it is a traditional AC-powered studio strobe, meaning it must be securely plugged into a standard wall outlet to function. It does not feature an internal battery, making it entirely unsuited for off-grid location work where power outlets are unavailable.

Additionally, this is a fully Manual flash. It does not support TTL (Through-The-Lens auto-exposure) or HSS (High-Speed Sync). You will need to use a dedicated light meter or rely on your camera's histogram to set your exposure manually, and your shutter speed will be strictly limited to your camera body's maximum mechanical flash sync speed (which is typically around 1/200th or 1/250th of a second).
