You do not need to purchase this adapter if you are using Profoto's larger battery strobes (like the B10, B20, or B30 series), as those lights natively accept OCF modifiers directly on their glass fronts.

Additionally, while this adapter allows you to physically mount large OCF softboxes (like a 3' Octa or 1x4' Strip) onto a tiny speedlight, you must keep in mind the power limitations of your flash. A 76Ws A10 speedlight will need to work significantly harder to evenly fill a massive modifier than a 500Ws strobe would, especially if you are shooting outdoors and fighting bright ambient daylight.
