Profoto OCF Adapter
The Ultimate Modifier Bridge for A-Series Flashes
If you own a Profoto A-series flash (like the A1, A1X, or A10) and want to unlock the full potential of off-camera studio lighting, the Profoto OCF Adapter is an essential piece of hardware.
Out of the box, the A-series speedlights are designed for Profoto's ultra-compact magnetic "Clic" modifiers. However, this heavy-duty adapter acts as a bridge, allowing you to mount your small A-series flash directly into Profoto’s larger OCF (Off-Camera Flash) modifier ecosystem. By simply sliding your flash into the adapter, you instantly gain access to professional-grade OCF softboxes, beauty dishes, snoots, and magnum reflectors, effectively turning your on-camera speedlight into a fully capable studio strobe.
This is an open box, used as a dealer demo, and priced accordingly.
Why You'll Love This Adapter
-
Expands Your Lighting Arsenal: Instead of being limited to small, speedlight-sized modifiers, this adapter gives your A1, A1X, or A10 access to Profoto’s highly regarded line of lightweight OCF modifiers. You can effortlessly mount a 3-foot Octa softbox or an OCF Beauty Dish to get beautifully soft, wrapping light.
-
Sturdy Stand Mount: Built with Profoto's legendary durability, it features a heavy-duty, integrated stand adapter. This allows you to mount the entire rig safely to any standard 5/8" light stand stud, complete with a robust tilt lock to angle your heavy modifiers exactly where you need them.
-
Integrated Umbrella Holder: In addition to the OCF modifier ring, the base of the adapter features a built-in umbrella mount. This allows you to easily slide in Profoto's Deep Umbrellas or standard shoot-through umbrellas for a fast and affordable lighting setup.
-
Simultaneous Modifier Use: The clever design of the adapter leaves the magnetic ring on the front of your A-series flash exposed. This means you can snap on a magnetic Clic color gel directly to the flash head while simultaneously shooting through a large OCF softbox attached to the outer adapter ring.
-
Fast, Slip-In Mounting: There are no screws or complicated clamps. You simply slide the rectangular body of the A-series flash into the cylindrical mount, and it locks firmly into place in seconds.

Things to Note
It is very important to note that this specific adapter is designed exclusively for the A1, A1X, and A10 speedlights. If you own the ultra-compact Profoto A2 monolight, you will need the newly redesigned Profoto OCF Adapter II, as the A2's cylindrical body shape does not fit correctly into this original speedlight adapter.
Additionally, while this adapter provides a standard Profoto mounting ring, Profoto strictly recommends using it only with modifiers from the OCF (Off-Camera Flash) line. Traditional Profoto studio modifiers (like the heavy RFi softboxes or the solid metal studio beauty dishes) are too heavy for this bracket and the delicate neck of an A-series speedlight. Stick to the lightweight OCF modifiers to ensure your gear stays safe and balanced on location.
