Profoto OCF II Barndoors
The Ultimate Tool for Precision Light Control on Location
When you need to meticulously control where your light falls—and just as importantly, where it doesn't—barndoors are an indispensable tool. The Profoto OCF II Barndoors are engineered specifically for the highly portable Off-Camera Flash (OCF) ecosystem, giving location photographers the precise, shapeable light control traditionally reserved for bulky, heavy studio gear.
Whether you are flagging light off a background, preventing unwanted lens flare, or creating a dramatic, narrow slit of light across a subject's eyes, these four individually adjustable leaves give you absolute command over your light spread without weighing down your gear bag.
This is a dealer demo, new open-box, priced accordingly.
Why You'll Love This Modifier
-
Four-Way Precision Control: The four sturdy metal leaves can be adjusted entirely independently of one another. This allows you to create asymmetrical shapes, block light from hitting specific areas of your set, or close them tightly to create a sharp, dramatic sliver of light.
-
Built-in Magnetic Mount: This is the greatest feature of the OCF II system. The center of the barndoor mount features an integrated magnetic ring, meaning you can easily snap in a magnetic OCF II Grid or Color Gel while the barndoors are attached, allowing you to flag and color your light simultaneously.
-
360-Degree Rotation: Once attached to your flash, the entire barndoor assembly can be smoothly rotated 360 degrees. If you create a horizontal slit of light but suddenly realize you need it to be vertical, you simply rotate the collar rather than unmounting and remounting the modifier.
-
Quick & Secure Mounting: It utilizes Profoto's proven heavy-duty rubber collar and metal clasp system. You simply slide it over the front of your OCF flash and lock down the clasp in a matter of seconds.
-
Compact & Travel-Ready: When you are done shooting, the four metal leaves fold completely flat against each other. The unit easily slides into its included practical soft bag, taking up minimal space in a backpack.

Things to Note
Because this modifier belongs to the lightweight OCF (Off-Camera Flash) ecosystem, its materials are specifically engineered to withstand the heat from LED modeling lights only. You must not use these barndoors on traditional AC-powered studio strobes (like the D2 or ProHeads) that utilize hot 500W halogen continuous bulbs, as the intense heat can damage the modifier.
Additionally, the rubber collar is designed to clamp securely around the classic 100mm flat glass front of Profoto's battery monolights. If you intend to use these barndoors on Profoto's smaller, compact A-series speedlights (like the A10 or A2), you will need to purchase the Profoto OCF Adapter separately to bridge the gap in size.
