Profoto RFi Speed Ring Adapter for Propet A Flash Heads (Model 100519)

The Essential Bridge for Propet Strobes

Profoto's RFi softboxes are widely considered some of the highest-quality light shaping tools in the industry. However, you don't actually need to own a Profoto strobe to take advantage of them. The Profoto RFi Speed Ring Adapter for Propet A is specifically engineered to bridge the gap, allowing photographers who shoot with Propet A flash heads to seamlessly mount and utilize any Profoto RFi softbox.

By swapping out the inner mounting ring, this adapter transforms your Propet A strobe into a fully compatible mount for Profoto's massive ecosystem of rectangular, octagonal, and strip softboxes. It brings Profoto's legendary light-shaping precision to your existing lighting kit without forcing you to buy into a completely new flash system.

This is a dealer demo, new open-box, and priced accordingly.

Why You'll Love This Adapter

  • Color-Coded Assembly: Setting up large softboxes can be a frustrating puzzle. This speed ring features heat-resistant, color-coded pole sockets that perfectly match the color-coded rods of Profoto RFi softboxes. This ensures you assemble your modifiers correctly and quickly every single time.

  • 360-Degree Rotation: Once your softbox is mounted to the flash head, the speed ring allows you to smoothly rotate the entire modifier a full 360 degrees. This is incredibly useful for angling a rectangular softbox or dialing in the exact position of a stripbox for a rim light.

  • Universal RFi Compatibility: The outer ring features eight separate sockets, meaning it natively supports both four-sided (rectangular/strip) and eight-sided (Octa) Profoto RFi softboxes with a single adapter.

  • Built for Daily Studio Use: Made of heavy-duty aluminum and steel, and painted with heat-resistant lacquer, this adapter is designed to withstand the rigorous demands of professional studios and the high heat generated by continuous modeling lamps.

Things to Note

It is crucial to understand that this adapter is designed exclusively for Propet A flash heads. While the outer black ring is the standard Profoto RFi design, the inner silver metal collar is machined specifically to fit Propet A mounts. You cannot use this adapter to mount a softbox onto a Profoto strobe (like a D2 or B1X), a Bowens mount, or a Sunstar head.

Additionally, this adapter is designed solely for the RFi line of softboxes (which use separate metal rods). It is not compatible with Profoto's newer "OCF" softboxes or the newest generation of folding "Profoto Softboxes," which feature integrated, non-removable speed rings.
