Because this is a "mini flash," it has a very low power output compared to a standard, full-sized speedlight (like the Godox V860III or V1). It does not have a zoom function to throw light long distances, so it is best used at close ranges (typically under 7 to 10 feet).

Additionally, the flash head is completely fixed. You cannot naturally tilt it up to bounce light off a ceiling or swivel it sideways to bounce off a wall. It is designed strictly for direct, on-camera flash lighting, making it ideal for snapshots but less suited for traditional, soft bounce-flash portraiture. (Godox does sell an optional "TR TTL Hot Shoe Riser" accessory if you want to add tilt functionality later.) Finally, because the battery is internal, once it dies on a shoot, you must plug the unit into a power bank or wall outlet to recharge it—you cannot simply swap in a fresh battery to keep shooting.
