Editing in Adobe Lightroom (Beginning to Intermediate Photographers)

This class is designed to introduce beginning to intermediate photographers to the powerful editing tools in Adobe Lightroom, with a focus on the Development Module. You’ll learn how to enhance and perfect your photos with ease while developing a solid understanding of the essential editing tools and their functions.

What You’ll Learn:

• Understanding the Sliders: Explore the various sliders in the Development Module and how they affect your photos. You’ll discover how adjustments like Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, and Blacks can be used to enhance or correct your images. Learn how to make precise tweaks to your photos for the perfect exposure, color balance, and dynamic range.

• Color Correction: Understand how the HSL (Hue, Saturation, Luminance) panel works to adjust your image’s colors. You'll gain the confidence to manipulate colors to bring out the best in your photos, from enhancing skies to creating mood through specific color adjustments.

• Introduction to Masks and Layers: Learn the basics of using masks and layers to target specific areas of your image for adjustments. Understand how to apply different types of masks (e.g., brush, radial, gradient) and how to fine-tune your edits to particular areas for more control and precision.

• Real-World Examples and Practice: Apply your knowledge to real-world examples and practice editing your own photos. The class will guide you through hands-on exercises, helping you get comfortable with the software’s interface and tools.
