At over 3 pounds for just the body and battery, it is a significant piece of equipment to lug around all day, especially once you attach a heavy professional telephoto lens.
It is also important to note that the 1D X Mark III marks the end of an era. Canon has officially shifted its professional focus entirely to the mirrorless RF mount (with flagship models like the EOS R1 and R3). While the 1D X Mark III remains a legendary workhorse, Canon is no longer developing new EF-mount lenses, meaning any future lens investments would require adapting EF glass to mirrorless bodies later on.
