Because the EOS R6 V pushes a massive amount of data, it requires CFexpress Type B memory cards to unlock its highest-end video features. While you can shoot standard photos and basic 4K video to the SD card slot, capturing 7K RAW, Open Gate, or 4K at 120fps requires the blistering write speeds of a CFexpress Type B card.
Secondly, this camera is designed around the power delivery of the new LP-E6P battery. While older LP-E6NH batteries may physically fit into the camera, they will likely restrict you from accessing the highest-end video modes, fastest continuous shooting speeds, and maximum fan cooling. It is highly recommended to only use genuine Canon LP-E6P batteries to unlock the camera's full potential.
Finally, while the active cooling fan is a massive benefit for video shooters, it adds noticeable bulk and weight to the back of the camera body compared to the standard EOS R6 Mark III, and requires you to be slightly more mindful when shooting in extremely wet or dusty environments.
