This is a Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 90mm f/2.8 Contax G Lens.
This lens is in good working order and in excellent good cosmetic condition showing very little signs of use. The lens optics present some tiny streaks of fungus in the inner front element. This will not affect image quality. The optics are otherwise free and clean of haze and scratching. Comes with Contax Metal Hood GG-3. The aperture ring is snappy and all positions are correct.
When the lens is not mounted to the camera, you only seem to be able to set about f/11 and smaller. This is normal: when you mount the lens on a camera it works perfectly, but since half the lens mount rotates as part of the bayonet mount, the part of the lens with the aperture index is rotated when the lens isn't on a camera. The aperture index mark moves, but you'll see that the diaphragm works perfectly, even when not on a camera.
