To unlock the GFX100 II's maximum performance—specifically 8K video, ProRes recording, and continuous 8 fps burst shooting—you must use a high-speed CFexpress Type B memory card. While the SD card slot is great for backup or shooting single stills, it will severely bottleneck the camera's buffer and video capabilities.
Additionally, you need to factor in the sheer size of the files this camera produces. A single uncompressed 102MP RAW file can easily exceed 200MB. You will need substantial hard drive space and a powerful computer to comfortably edit, store, and process these massive images. Finally, while the camera body itself is priced competitively for what it offers, the required Fujifilm G-Mount (GF) lenses are large, heavy, and a significant financial investment.
