The Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S II is a high-performance telephoto zoom lens designed for the Nikon Z-mount mirrorless system. Released in early 2026, it is approximately 26% lighter than its predecessor and features an advanced Silky Swift Voice Coil Motor (SSVCM) for significantly faster and quieter autofocus.

- Unprecedented Lightweight Design: Weighing just 998g (2.2 lbs) without the tripod foot, it is considered the lightest lens in its class. This reduction in weight, achieved through a refined optical formula with fewer elements (18 vs. 21), makes it easier to handle during long shooting days or on gimbals.
- Advanced Autofocus: The new Silky Swift VCM drive system is 3.5x faster and 17.5x more precise than the previous generation, offering vastly improved focus tracking, especially while zooming.
