Because the Z 30 was aggressively streamlined for video creators and vloggers, it lacks an Electronic Viewfinder (EVF). You must frame all of your shots using the rear LCD screen. If you are primarily a stills photographer who prefers holding the camera up to your eye (especially on bright, sunny days), you may want to consider the Nikon Z 50 instead.

Additionally, the camera does not have In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS). To reduce camera shake while walking and vlogging, it relies on digital e-VR (electronic Vibration Reduction), which applies a slight crop to your footage. To get the smoothest possible video, you will want to pair the camera with a lens that features built-in optical VR (Vibration Reduction).
