Nikon Z 7II Mirrorless Digital Camera (Body Only)
The High-Resolution Flagship of the Z-Series
For professional landscape photographers, commercial studio shooters, and fine-art creators who demand ultimate resolution and uncompromising image quality, the Nikon Z 7II is an absolute masterpiece. Building on the foundation of the original Z7, the "Mark II" retains the stunning 45.7-megapixel sensor (with no optical low-pass filter for maximum sharpness) but introduces Dual EXPEED 6 image processors.
This added processing power significantly enhances the camera's speed, buffer depth, and autofocus capabilities, particularly the highly accurate Eye-Detection AF for both humans and animals. Housed in a rugged, weather-sealed magnesium alloy body, the Z 7II is designed to capture incredible detail in the harshest environments while providing a seamless, intelligent workflow.
Why You'll Love This Camera
-
45.7MP BSI Sensor: The backside-illuminated full-frame sensor delivers immense resolution and a brilliant dynamic range. With a base ISO of 64, it allows for incredibly clean highlight recovery and massive cropping potential, making it perfect for massive gallery prints or detailed commercial work.
-
Dual EXPEED 6 Processors: The dual engines allow the camera to shoot at up to 10 frames per second with a significantly deeper buffer than its predecessor (up to 77 lossless compressed RAW files), ensuring you never miss a moment even when shooting at ultra-high resolution.
-
Advanced 493-Point AF System: The hybrid phase-detect/contrast-detect autofocus system covers 90% of the frame. It features highly effective Eye-Detection and Animal-Detection AF that locks on tenaciously, ensuring your portraits and wildlife shots are perfectly focused.
-
Dual Memory Card Slots: The Z 7II features two card slots for professional workflow reliability. Slot 1 accepts ultra-fast CFexpress Type B (or XQD) cards, while Slot 2 takes widely available SD (UHS-II) cards for instant in-camera backups or overflow storage.
-
5-Axis In-Body Stabilization: The sensor-shift VR (Vibration Reduction) system provides up to 5 stops of shake correction. This is crucial for a high-resolution sensor, allowing you to shoot handheld at slower shutter speeds without introducing micro-blur into your highly detailed images.
-
Pro-Level Video: While primarily a stills powerhouse, the Z 7II is highly capable for video. It records 4K UHD video up to 60p (with a slight 1.08x crop) and offers advanced features like 10-bit N-Log and HLG (HDR) output via HDMI for serious color grading.

Things to Note
Because of the massive 45.7-megapixel resolution, your file sizes will be incredibly large. You will need to ensure your computer has the processing power and storage capacity to handle hundreds of 50MB+ RAW files. You will also want to invest in high-capacity CFexpress cards to make the most of the camera's continuous shooting speeds.
Additionally, the rear LCD screen on the Z 7II only tilts up and down. It does not fully articulate or flip forward. While this is generally preferred by landscape and studio photographers because it keeps the screen on the optical axis of the lens, it makes the camera less ideal for vlogging or taking selfies.
