To unlock the absolute maximum performance of the Z8—specifically the 8K RAW video recording and the deepest, fastest continuous burst shooting buffers—you must use high-quality CFexpress Type B memory cards in Slot 1. Relying heavily on the SD card slot (Slot 2) will significantly throttle the camera's speed and video capabilities.

Additionally, because the Z8 packs the massive processing power and video capabilities of the much larger Z9 into a smaller body, battery life is noticeably shorter.
