Profoto Clic Grid Kit

The Essential Tool for Precise Light Control on the Go

Sometimes, what you don't light is just as important as what you do light. When you need to prevent your flash from spilling all over a background, create a dramatic rim light, or mimic a focused spotlight, you need a grid. The Profoto Clic Grid Kit provides two highly portable, precision light-shaping tools engineered specifically for Profoto's compact A-series flashes.

Instead of wrestling with the clumsy tape or Velcro straps common with traditional speedlight modifiers, this kit utilizes Profoto's brilliant magnetic Clic system. It allows you to instantly snap a honeycomb grid onto the front of your flash, narrowing the beam spread and giving you ultimate directional control in a matter of seconds.

Why You'll Love This Kit

  • Instant Magnetic Mounting: The magnetic outer ring effortlessly snaps onto the front of any Profoto A-series flash (like the A10, A2, or C1 Plus) with a satisfying "click." You can mount or remove it instantly without taking your eye away from the camera.
  • Two Levels of Control: The kit provides two distinct beam angles to fine-tune your light. Use the 20° grid to gently restrict the spread and add contrast, or use the much tighter 10° grid to create a highly focused, dramatic pool of light perfect for highlighting a subject's face or isolating a product.
  • Completely Stackable: The flat magnetic design is modular. You can stack one of these grids seamlessly over a Profoto Clic Gel to create a highly focused pool of colored light, or stack them under a Clic Dome to change the texture of the light while keeping it contained.
  • Perfect for Dramatic Lighting: By tunneling the light forward, these grids are absolute lifesavers for low-key portraits, precise hair lighting, and preventing unwanted flare when shooting with your flash positioned slightly behind your subject.
  • Travel-Ready: Both grids pack securely into an included rigid, zippered carrying case that takes up virtually no space in your camera bag and protects the delicate honeycomb metal from getting crushed.

      Things to Note

Because these grids utilize the magnetic Clic system, they are sized and designed exclusively for Profoto's compact A-series lights. You cannot mount these onto traditional Profoto studio strobes (like the B10 series, D2, or B1X), which require much larger grids designed for the classic 100mm Profoto mount.

Additionally, grids inherently reduce the overall light output of your flash by blocking off-axis light rays. When you snap the tighter 10° grid onto your flash, expect a noticeable drop in exposure compared to shooting bare-bulb, requiring you to bump up your flash power or open your aperture slightly to compensate.
