Because this modifier features the new integrated speedring design, it mounts natively onto traditional Profoto 100mm flash heads right out of the box (including the D1, D2, B1X, B10, and ProHeads). If you intend to use this softbox with Profoto's smaller battery-powered A-series flashes (like the A10 or A2), you will need to purchase the separately available Profoto OCF Adapter.

It is also important to distinguish this new model (simply named "Profoto Softbox") from the battery-optimized "OCF" line. Unlike OCF softboxes (which are built of lighter materials strictly for battery flashes with LED modeling lamps), this standard Softbox Octa features heavy-duty fabrics that can safely handle the intense heat of traditional AC-powered studio strobes.
