Things to Note

The most important thing to understand is that CFexpress Type A is physically different from CFexpress Type B. Type A cards are significantly smaller (roughly the size of a standard SD card, but thicker). They will only work in Sony cameras equipped with dual-format Type A / SD slots. They will NOT work in cameras that use CFexpress Type B (like the Nikon Z8, Canon EOS R5, or Panasonic bodies).

Because of this unique physical size, you cannot put this card into a standard SD card reader or a CFexpress Type B reader. To offload your footage to your computer at high speeds, you will absolutely need to purchase a dedicated CFexpress Type A card reader (like the Sony MRW-G2).
