Things to Note
Because this camera is aggressively tailored for video creators, Sony made a few bold design choices. Most notably, there is no electronic viewfinder (EVF). You must frame all of your shots using the rear LCD screen. If you are primarily a stills photographer who prefers shooting with the camera up to your eye, you should look at the Sony a6400 instead.
Additionally, the camera does not have In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS). To combat shaky footage when walking, it relies on "Active Mode" digital stabilization, which applies a noticeable crop to your field of view. To get the best results while vlogging, you will want to pair it with an ultra-wide lens that features Optical SteadyShot (OSS) or put the camera on a gimbal.
